With the controversies surrounding the latest Rajkumar Hirani film PK starring Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma doing the rounds, we look at the positives of the film and give you five valid lessons the film taught us.

 1. Aliens do exist, we just haven’t seen any: Yes! Aliens exist and they are adorable enough to make you fall in love with them. Aamir proved to be one hell of a charmer with his adorable personality, childlike curiosity and upbeat nature, he won our hearts. And also changed our outlook in a way, after all, aliens may not be some ugly looking scary creatures, like most of the films portray it.

 2. To love someone, is to let go your love: It’s not always about clinging on to your soul mate; sometimes letting go makes you a bigger person. After all, love is never about being loved back or owning the one you love, it’s about realising what makes them happy, even if it means to let them go.

 3. Believe in yourself and not Godmen: Trust yourself and not someone who is a self-acclaimed manager of the Almighty, trust your thinking and act accordingly. Doubt what you see, read and hear. Question what’s in front of you and don’t just stand blinded, accepting everything that’s handed to you.

 4. Not everything we are taught is right: Apply your logic and brains and behave rationally not just because your religion says so, but because your mind says so. Listen to yourself before you agree with something you aren’t fully aware about. Your mind holds the power, so give yourself a chance to be enlightened.

 5. Questioning a ritual is not a sin: Rather than blindly following something that lies behind a fog, it’s better to understand the how’s and the why’s of a thing you have been doing since your birth. It’s not a sin to have curiosity, so never be afraid to satisfy your thirst for curiosity.

Jo Dar Gaya Woh Mandir Gaya: Five Killer Lines from PK

Stills from PK

Aamir doles out oodles of memorable dialogues in PK

Even if you didn't, for reasons best known to you, watch Aamir Khan's 3 Idiots, chances are you were infected by his character's catch phrase 'All is Well,' trotting in moments of both joy and despair.

Aamir has a new movie out now - PK - and a new catchphrase: 'Wrong Number.' He also doles out oodles of other memorable dialogues in and as PK.

Here are five.

Spoilers Ahead.

1. "Jo dar gaya woh mandir gaya," PK says, figuring out that religion thrives on fear

 2. "Hamare goley pe koi jhooth nahin bolta (Nobody lies on my planet)," he tells TV journo Jaggu who refuses to believe him at one point.

 3. "Hum confusiya gaye gain," PK says on more than one occasion,
foxed by the ways of the world, especially by the bewilderingly varied
religious rituals he encounters.

 4. One of PK's takeaways from his brush with humans is that when
they say 'I love chicken' or 'I love fish' they mean the exact opposite.
It means they love killing and eating chicken and fish.

 5. An idol seller tells PK that humans can communicate with God directly. He shoots back: "Why then do you make these idols?"
