It’s the first step towards India’s daughters and we are mighty proud of this initiative
Yes, the safety of women is a matter of concern and everyone needs to do something about it, including you and me. Gone are the days when you scream for men to run to protect you, it’s about protecting yourself.
Akshay Kumar has taken the initiative to teach women self defence. Supporting him in the endeavour is Aaditya Thackeray who made these classes absolutely free. The first batch included 2000 women of all age groups and from varied professions. Aaditya Thackeray tweeted, “Extremely thankful to @akshaykumar ji to have initiated this project to train women for basic and practical self defence, free of cost.”
Besides training women, the course also takes the initiative to train the visually impaired girls. Twinkle Khanna, who was also part of the first session tweeted, “Self-defence center 4 women-no fees-by @akshaykumar & @AUThackeray -2000 women already finished training #Welldone”
Well that is indeed a brilliant step and we are immensely proud of Akshay for the idea and for dedicating his time to it as well.
