Her performances always packed a punch, and were mostly award-winning ones. A great loss to Hindi cinema, Smita Patil died at the age of 31, two weeks after she gave birth to her son, Prateik Babbar, following medical complications.

suffering from kidney complications and so took sleeping pills to end
his life. He attempted to suicide to donate his own kidneys for the
superstar.
